    Heeding The Call To Sleep and Rest

    You should be conscious of your body signs of the need to rest. While you may have lots of plans still – you should not overdo it, and leave your body drained. You will suffer the effects on the following day.

    At work, you will be less effective and you will not perform at peak levels. Your problem solving capabilities are lessened - as your mind will not be alert to find solutions to problems. Your attention to detail will also be compromised. You will most likely be sloppy and you will find yourself committing errors along the way.

    Your body will give you signals – heed them. Pay close attention to it, and give your body what it is due. And remember, you only have one body in this lifetime - you should take good care of it before it will be too late.

    Keep your body and mind in good condition so that these will function well when needed. Subscribing consistently to a good night’s sleep is like doing preventive maintenance to a machine or to your car. The more you follow a regular schedule of maintenance, the better it will function – and it will last long. And so the body, with a regular good night’s rest is expected to be fully functional for a longer time.
